Accessibility Statement

Partially conformant: parts of the content do not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively improving accessibility and document known barriers below.

“Partially conformant” means that some content or functions do not yet meet all requirements, while substantial parts of the site already do.

We work on accessibility throughout design, development, and content:

• Semantic HTML structure and meaningful headings where possible
• Text alternatives for essential images and icons
• Visible focus styles on many interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields)
• Labels and error messages on contact and discovery forms
• ARIA attributes on dialogs (e.g. cookie banner, discovery overlay) and navigation regions
• Language selection for German and English content
• Cookie consent with essential / analytics / marketing categories; analytics loads only after consent
• Responsive layout for different viewport sizes and zoom levels

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to reduce them:

• Motion and animation: GSAP scroll effects, Lottie animations, and smooth scrolling (Lenis) may affect vestibular sensitivity or make content harder to follow for some users.
• Third-party media: Embedded videos or assets from external CDNs may not always offer full captions or audio descriptions.
• Contrast and typography: Some decorative or marketing sections may not meet contrast targets in every state (e.g. overlays, gradients).
• Keyboard navigation: Complex interactive sections (e.g. draggable walls, pinned scroll areas) may require additional keyboard and screen-reader optimisation.
• Skip links: A dedicated “skip to content” link is not yet available on all templates.
• PDFs and downloads: Files linked from the site are not automatically accessible unless separately prepared.
• Third-party booking: Google Calendar booking opens an external service with its own accessibility profile.

For services aimed at consumers in Germany, state market surveillance authorities are responsible. We will provide the authority relevant to our registered office on request.

Public-sector users may additionally use the Schlichtungsstelle nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz (BGG): schlichtungsstelle-bgg.de (where applicable).

Accessibility depends on browser, assistive technology, and operating system. We test with current versions of common browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and recommend keeping your software up to date.

Relevant standards: WCAG 2.1, EN 301 549, BITV 2.0 (reference for public-sector sites in Germany).
